Sustainability Policy Developments November 2025
01 November 2025On 30 October, International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) Chair Emmanuel Faber announced the expansion of the Jurisdictional Working Group to enable multilateral discussions on using ISSB Standards as “a global passport” for sustainability reporting. For jurisdictions that have adopted or that plan to adopt sustainability reporting requirements aligned with the ISSB’s model standards, this “passporting” approach would encourage jurisdictions to accept reports prepared “in accordance with” the ISSB’s standards, “accommodating jurisdiction-specific conditions as needed.”
