SGV Risk Consulting Leader Joseph Ian M. Canlas, Technology Consulting Principal Philip B. Casanova and Consulting Senior Manager Mark Anthony Javiero have taken on new leadership roles in professional organizations, further strengthening their contributions to the risk management, internal audit, and cybersecurity professions in the region and the country
Joseph was elected as FY25-26 Vice President 1 of the Asian Confederation of Institutes of Internal Auditors (ACIIA) during its annual general meeting held at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 8 September 2025. With 20 member affiliates from countries across the Asia-Pacific region, ACIIA is a premier organization dedicated to advancing the internal audit profession in the region. Joseph expressed his deep gratitude to ACIIA members and reaffirmed his commitment to continue his advocacy, service, and support to the organization.
Joseph was also reappointed as a member of the global Committee of Research and Education Advisors of the Internal Audit Foundation for FY25-26.
Philip was named Chapter President of the International Information System Security Certification Consortium (ISC2) Philippines. He shared his gratitude for the trust placed in him and emphasized his vision to work with the chapter’s officers in advancing its mission to strengthen the cybersecurity community in the Philippines.
Philip also extended his appreciation to Immediate Past President and SGV Technology Consulting Leader Warren Bituin for his exceptional leadership and strong foundation that will guide the chapter moving forward.
Alongside Philip, Mark Anthony Javiero was elected as ISC2 Philippines’ Assistant Treasurer. His role will support the chapter’s financial stewardship and operational growth as it continues to drive cybersecurity initiatives in the country.
These new appointments reflect SGV’s continued dedication to leadership in professional organizations and the Firm’s mission of building a better working world through service, collaboration, and expertise.
