Villacorte and Sustainability Principal Bonar A. Laureto, joined the EY House sessions held alongside COP30 in Belém, Brazil. The venue hosted a series of discussions and collaborative events aligned with the COP30 Action Agenda and focused on advancing sustainability, climate action, and innovation.
Throughout the sessions, SGV engaged with global experts, policymakers, and industry leaders exploring how business can drive measurable progress in climate and nature outcomes. Topics included sustainable economic transformation, biodiversity protection, climate finance, technology-enabled climate solutions, resilient communities, and the evolving role of carbon markets.
A notable highlight from the event was the announcement that the EY House in Belém, which served as a multisectoral space for strategic debates during COP30, will be donated to the Secretary of Indigenous Peoples of Pará (Sepi) after the conference. This will establish the first official headquarters for the state’s Indigenous Peoples in the heart of Belém, reinforcing long-term support for indigenous leadership and cultural preservation in the Amazon.
