SGV & Co. signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Technological Institute of the Philippines (T.I.P.) on 27 January at the Americana Room, SGV II Building in Makati City to formalize the school’s participation in the SGV Academy program.
SGV’s involvement in the agreement with T.I.P. includes providing industry insights to ensure the curriculum is industry-relevant, and offering additional support such as the development of educators, part-time teaching roles for SGV professionals, guest lectures, team teaching, and hands-on workshops.
SGV Chairman and Country Managing Partner Rossana A. Fajardo, Financial Services and Ecosystems and Knowledge Leader Christian G. Lauron, and Assurance Partner and SGV Academy Leader Allan W. Ocho signed on behalf of the Firm.
Assurance Partner and T.I.P. alumnus Benigno F. Leongson, and SGV Academy co-Program Managers Mark Adrian Asinas and Jervie Sta. Ana were also in attendance.
T.I.P. President Angelo Quirino Lahoz, Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Rosalinda Valdepeñas, and College of Business Education Associate Dean Dr. Joemy C. Lopez signed for T.I.P.
Other T.I.P. delegates present included Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Felizardo Reyes Jr. and Accountancy Program Chair Dr. Nimiah Dayao.
The SGV Academy program aims to work alongside educational institutions and various organizations to help bridge the gap between academia and industry through initiatives that respond to the evolving needs of the industry, primarily in the professional services sector.
