SGV Assurance Partner and EY Private Leader Kristopher S. Catalan served as a resource speaker at the 2026 International Franchise Conference organized by the Philippine Franchise Association. The conference was held from 23 to 26 April 2026 at the SMX Convention Center Manila.
Kristopher led a session on 24 April 2026 on "Turning P&L Insights into Business Growth”. The session was part of the extensive lineup of activities featured during the conference along with conferences and a large-scale exhibition that showcased over 1,000 local and international franchise brands. The session was attended by business and franchise owners, as well as prospective franchise investors seeking to strengthen their financial decision-making capabilities.

Kristopher discussed how businesses can use profit and loss (P&L) statements as a tool by understanding their fundamentals, key components, and practical and strategic uses. He also provided a high-level breakdown of each component, guiding participants on how to extract insights and use these for informed business decisions.
The session concluded with an engaging Q&A period, where participants raised practical questions on P&L as it relates to franchise operations and evaluation of potential business ventures.
