The SGV Knowledge Institute and SGV Consulting hosted a forum titled “Harmony in Action: Navigating Enterprise Resilience through the Synergy of Governance, Risk and Compliance” on 27 November 2025 at the Legaspi Ballroom, Makati Diamond Residences.
The event opened with welcome remarks from Country Managing Partner Rossana A. Fajardo, followed by a performance from Drum Circle. Risk Consulting Partner Veronica Mae A. Balisi served as host throughout the program.
The first session of the three-part forum, titled “GRC Integration: Aligning Governance, Risk and Compliance with Business Strategy,” was facilitated by Risk Consulting Leader and EY Asean Core Consulting Quality Leader Joseph Ian M. Canlas and Risk Consulting Partner Christiane Joymiel Say-Mendoza. The panel featured Citibank Philippines Compliance Risk Country Officer Atty. Narlette Manacap, SM Investments Corporation Senior Vice President for Special Projects, Chief Risk and Compliance Officer and SGV Alumni Partner Vicky Lee Salas and EY Singapore Consulting Partner Sing Hwee Neo.
The second session, “Leveraging Responsible AI in Risk, Compliance and Integral Audit,” featured thought-provoking discussions on technology and enterprise resilience. The session was facilitated by SGV Technology Consulting Principal Lee Carlo B. Abadia and Technology Consulting Partner Carlo Kristle G. Dimarucut. Joining the panel were President and Co-Founder of the Analytics and AI Association of the Philippines Michelle Alarcon, Head of Risk and Compliance of MediCard Philippines, Inc. Jose Roy Hipolito, and EY APAC Risk Leader and GRC Technology Leader Chee Kong Wong.
The final session, “Relevance of Enterprise Resilience, New Technology, and Synergized Risk Management to the Board,” was facilitated by SGV Consulting Leader Ryan Gilbert K. Chua and Technology Consulting Leader Warren R. Bituin. The panel was composed of Executive Director and Chief Finance, Risk, and Sustainability Officer of Metro Pacific Investments Corporation and President & CEO of mWell Cheryl Cabal-Revilla, Solicitor General Darlene Marie B. Berberabe and SGV Alumni Partner and Director of various publicly listed companies and Chairman or Member of multiple audit committees Medel T. Nera.
The event concluded with closing remarks from SGV Deputy Managing Partner and Strategy and Transactions Leader Noel P. Rabaja.
The event was attended by key leaders and professionals, such as Chief Internal Auditors, Chief Risk Officers, Chief Compliance Officers and members of Boards of Directors.
